Because it's there

A trip to Everest Base camp, it's, it's, an experience that changed me. In many ways it defies words. Every step, every experience, every sight, every sound, every person you meet, every day that you taking in this beautiful, cruel, rugged, tough, enchanting place.

Fly, fly, fly away. Be be off on our own merry way....

And it's off to Lukla. The city with not so bright lights and one hell-of-an up-hill airport. The flight is very interesting indeed. From skimming the mountain tops, to pilots reading the paper, to the crazy dive for the Lukla runway. It was so surreal, it would seem that we barely made it over the mountain peaks and then, the dive, all I saw was mountain dirt, more of it, even more, heaps to tell you the truth, getting closer and closer very rapidly. And then, bang, the engines roar, on come the brakes and suddenly in what seemed like mere seconds, we are standing still. On the runway. This thing this is soooooo SHORT I kept calling it a driveway. Everyone clapped, what a performance. We we told that the take-offs are even more interesting but you'll have to wait. Lucky for me that I didn't know much about it beforehand. Sorrrrryyyyy if I have spoliled it for anyone. This is Ryan and Amy mid air laughing like you do when you have a hell of a journey ahead of us but loving every moment.
