Because it's there

A trip to Everest Base camp, it's, it's, an experience that changed me. In many ways it defies words. Every step, every experience, every sight, every sound, every person you meet, every day that you taking in this beautiful, cruel, rugged, tough, enchanting place.

Lukla in the morning

There we were, still in awe over that incredibly short runway not to mention that incredible landing it's self as we walked around the barb-wire clad airport. Soldiers sprinkled everywhere added to the (I want to say surreal but that has been said way too much - and in a way not enough) feel of the place. This was our first encounter with the rural Nepal as we lived and breathed for the next 15 days. After some breakfast at the airport we set foot on our first trek.
